How we work
The failures we design against
Almost every tiling complaint traces back to one of three things: a substrate that was never made flat, a waterproofing membrane that was tiled over before it cured, or a setout decided by whoever started laying first. None of them are visible on handover day. All of them are expensive a year later.
So we quote the preparation as its own line. If a floor needs 15 mm of self-levelling compound to take a 900 mm tile, that is in the quote before you accept it, not raised as a variation halfway through. If a shower base needs re-forming to get the falls right, we say so at the measure.
It makes our quotes look longer than the one-line ones. It also means the number at the bottom is the number you pay.
The "eco" part
Waste is a setout problem before it is an environmental one
Tiling generates offcuts, packaging, wash-out slurry and part-used bags. Most of it is decided by choices made before the first cut.
Batches sized to the area
Adhesive and grout are mixed to the run being laid rather than the bag being open, so less goes off in the bucket and less goes down a drain.
Packaging returned
Pallets and undamaged full boxes go back to the supplier where they take them, and clean cardboard and rigid plastic are separated on site rather than tipped into one skip.
